I'm not sure then I swear it works for me. Only issue was with VZ. Updating and then little blue dot right where I am (within 20 meters)~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

Google maps triangulates tower signals and is not true GPS from what I read on google about it. I may be wrong and I am sure if I am someone will correct me.

If your phone does not have GPS then it uses cell towers to triangulate your approx location.
If your phone has GPS then it will still use cell towers to triangulate your position only until your GPS locks on so it will find your location faster.

I guess I am just not waiting long enough because with BB maps gps is instant but with google maps it always shows me 35 miles from where i am. I will start it up tomarrow and see if I can get it to use the gps.

Are you sure you aren't actually 35 miles from where YOU THINK you are?

I have tried Google maps (yesterday again), never had VZ Nav installed so that is not the issue, but always get "GPS is Temporarily Unavailable" and I am always 5000 M from where I am. The reason I am that far away is that I live in the mountains and we have one cell tower on the mountain top so it fixes on just that tower. Without multiple towers you don't get good triangulation.

I suspect you are in an area that has many towers to choose from and get good triangulation.

edit: I also have had Garmin working and currently have TeleNav working, both with GPS and spot on. GMaps is always way off.
