Anyone have geotagging figured out yet? I have geotagging "enabled" but can not figure out how it works on a storm. Any help would be great.

first, you should turn your gps location on option>advanced options>gps>location on
some people have reported that you have to have bb maps running in the background, but try first without doing so!

Geotagging is an option in the camera. Once enabled, it is supposed to attach GPS coordinates to any pictures you take. I have mine enabled but do not see the GPS info anywhere. On other BB's, while viewing the photo, you can select "view on map". I do not get that option on the storm.

I have "location on". I have weather bug and garmin installed and both work fine. I just did a test. I have BB maps running. I took a picture and then went to the picture options. I still do not see anything with GPS or a function to let me see the photo on a map.

It works in conjunction with Blackberry Maps. Insure maps is active and satellites acquired. Open camera. GPS icon should be white. Tag your coordinates

Before taking the picture, if there is a red crosshair, then geotagging is not going to work. If it is white then it is. Take the picture then view the pictures in the folder, hit bb button and th

Maps doesn't have to be active for geo-tagging to work. You just have to ensure that you have satellite connections and GPS location is set to on.

I never have maps turned on and geo-tagging works perfectly. The only time maps has anything to do with it is when you click on View on Map. Clicking there will pull up Maps whether they are running in the background or not.....

Note: This is on a Bold and an 8900 running OS 4.6.??.??
