afaik, 28mb is plenty. people are constantly on a quest to free memory thinking it will make the device profoundly better. while thats true for someone who may have just 5mb free, 28mb free is not going to see much improvement. there are some simple things you can do to free up memory though... fully exit/close programs when you are not using them, empty the event logs regularly, do a battery pull every couple of days, etc. also, there are many threads on the forum with information on how to get more of your memory free.

thats really not that low. it all depends on what 3rd party apps you have loaded and how many messages you have in your inbox and a few other smaller things. i wouldn't worry about it too much, just keep an eye on it and pull the battery if it gets too low. mine starts at around 43mb and i usually pull the battery if it gets close to 25mb.

sounds pretty close to being correct... by the way, you dont really need the launcher if you just bookmark blackberryforums.pinstack.com/f223/ i find that much easier! To tell if this number is close to being correct, do a bat pull and if your memory is ~25mb or maybe ~30mb, then 14 is around the right number, if not there could be a memory leak, but unless your performance starts suffering, dont sweat it!

cool, thanks man. i just did a reset to check and it bounced back to 38.9mb. Also, I've been using my phone alot and its been a few days since the last rest. I tend to do them regularly just because. maybe every other day.

What does "pull the battery" exactly mean?
