Finally full screen picid on the Storm

Finally PictureID is now compatible with the Storm.

You will need OS version 4.7.0.75 if pictureID does not work on your current Storm. If the picture flashes quickly when you get a call then you need the upgrade.

Get Picture ID OTA install www.toysoft.ca/beta/PictureID.jad

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~ this looks really
interesting...never used it. Two questions: 1) is there a way to simply make the pictures you already have assigned, full screen? 2) does the blackberry profile selector trump the alert options in this app...it looks like they might conflict and I'd hate to not know what sounds my phone will make lol
    Thanks for the help!

the picture that is your contact is not full screen. it is only 1/3 size. the best result is make your picture the size of the Storm screen.

the ringtone will be the same unless you use PictureID ringtone management too.

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~ thanks smiley, makes sense but I guess I should have explained better.
I have like 50 contacts pictures, at a size slightly larger than my storm screen on my memory card. Using the native bb address book I linked each contact to those pictures.
When they call the pictures show up smaller than the whole scren, (obviously) but the file size is still the same on the memory card.
Is there a quicker way to use those pictures in this app reassigning each one?

Also, so if I just don't mess with the apps alert settings, my custom alert settings from the bb os will tar priority?

Thanks again for the help, I can be a little slow sometimes Lol

when you assign the picture Contacts caches the picture and saves the smaller version along with your contact. it does not keep the reference to the file like pictureID. PictureID does not have the picture data. it just reference the picture link on the sd card or memory. if that picture is deleted then the picture wont been shown.

the simplest way to use pictureID is

    - add custom picid that you want to show. if you do not assign any global for known or unknown callers then the default Phone screen will be shown. just dont use any of the PictureID's alert or ringtone.

PictureID works on BB OS 4.2, 4.3 and 4.5, Storm with 4.7.0.75 upgrade

If you the BOLD, Pearl Flip or any OS 4.6 and 4.7 you will most likely need or wait for your carrier to release the update. this is because the current OS has a bug in it that causes pictureID not to work
