I had a tmo pearl and now I have the storm and I backed-up my pearls info and did a restore to my storm and everything is working fine except that I keep getting emails that I sent on my phone. How do I stop this.

Is it gmail by any chance?

In any event you can click on my blog and read the thread on stopping sent gmail messages from showing up in your inbox. It will show you how to filter out these duplicate sent messages, and can be applied to any account that is behaving this way.

another option for gmail is to use IMAP instead of POP. Check out the following link for instructions on setting Gmail up for IMAP retrieval on your blackberry:

    mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=78882

Using IMAP, you don't have to set up a filter to not deliver your own sent messages back to you.

Another tip for anyone using IMAP for gmail -- In settings, click on the Labs tab at the top. Scroll down until you see "Advanced IMAP Controls" and change this feature to "Enable". After you save the changes, go back into Settings and click on the "Forwarding and POP/IMAP" tab. Under your IMAP settings, you will now see additional options that let you specify what to do with deleted IMAP messages. In the early days of gmail IMAP support, if you deleted a message on your blackberry, it would DELETE, not archive, the message on the server. Now you can control how all that is handled with the IMAP advanced controls. Pretty clever.
