as far as hardware differences I don't think that their is any difference, but someone might want to correct me if I am wrong. I know they use two different operating systems, but both 4.7. But since it is a global smartphone then you can use the 9530 on the GSM network also.

yeah, i've been thinking about that term global smartphone, cos now im on curve and it's able to use a GSM network also, but from what i've read that it supports only 2Bands, since many phones right now is supporting quad band, maybe i read it wrong..please add more info for me to learn the greatness of this phone...

that's just confusing...i mean i love in indonesia, where i use most of the time using GSM, so from the link u gave me, stated that 9530 is a CDMA based module or whatever...does it mean i cant use it with a GSM SIM CARD?

All 9530's have a sim slot. It comes with a verizon/vodaphone sim preinstalled for international use. I'm typing this from a 9530 with a TMO sim. Once unlocked any sim will work to my knowledge~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

    To sum this up.

9500 : Quad-Band GSM / European HSPA Only, NO north american 3G, unlockable to use with ANY GSM provider.
You will only get EDGE in North America, 3G elsewhere.

9530 : CDMA and Quad-Band GSM / European HSPA, same as the 9500, NO north american 3G.
unlockable to use with ANY GSM provider. You will only get EDGE in North America, 3G elsewhere.

    To come out soon :

9520 : Will be carried by Rogers Wireless in Canada. Differences in Bold.
Quad-Band GSM / North American HSPA (3G), unlockable to use with ANY GSM provider.
You will get 3G in North America (not sure if it includes Euro 3G).
    Addition of Wifi antenna.

    There you go.
