Did you leave an 8900 for the Storm?

    Hey stackers!

I am thinking of giving the Storm a go but am wondering if I am making a mistake giving up my 8900 for it. I love the 8900, that little guy gets the job done!

I am just wondering how many of you out there made a similar jump and if you were pleased with it or not. Pros, cons?

I have done a lot of research, watched a lot of videos, and now I am just interested in your opinions.

Wow- I don't know why you'd wanna do that.
My experience with the 8900 has been superb-and unless the
New update improves the storm os tremendously
I think your best bet is to stick with the 8900.
You sound really happy with it-why change?
Imo if the 8900 had 3g it would be the best BB available right now.
In fact it might be anyway.

IMHO Run as fast as you can away from the Storm. Do not go over to the dark side.

All you will really do with this post dude is draw out the VZW haters. They two are not even close to the same class. If you want a touch screen, do it. If you are happy with 2G speeds and a physical keyboard, stay with your 8900.

What I suggest is getting a storm used of craigs list or something and keep your 8900. I have a bold and I wanted a storm but I bought one used it will never replace my bold. Never. But the storm is a nice toy to play with. I use it as my weekend device as I turn my tmobile account(bold) off because its my business device. Its not bad at all(storm) but I wouldn't suggest giving up your 8900 for it. My 2 cents.

I do love the 8900, and ultimately I am holding out for the Magnum, but part of me just wants to give the Storm a go so I don't always doubt my decisions.

But so far, I have heard all negatives about the trade so that makes me very cautious.

    Smile Loving the TMobile Storm

I had a 8900 and was satisfied with it. The screen resolution was amazing, everything worked well and I was able to get about 1.5-2 days of battery life. Life was good but something was still missing...

Decided to make the move and bought a brand new Storm off of Craigslist and went ahead and unlocked it. Upgraded the OS to a hybrid .148/.90 version and haven't looked back.

The touch screen is awesome, no delays as read in numerous posts. I actually love the surepress screen, adjusted very quickly and can type just as fast if not faster on the Storm Keyboard. I am just in love when surfing the net and have all that screen real estate to view my favorite web pages on. No need for my iPod Touch.

I still have my 8900 and will probably continue to evaluate as I've only been on the TMO Storm for 2 weeks now. So far, don't miss the 256mb of internal memory on the 8900, don't miss the wifi, surfing is adequate on TMO's 2G network in my area.

I made the change and am VERY happy...good luck to you.

I have been using the storm on Tmobile for about 3 months now and really like it. I also have the 8900 and really like it too but prefer the larger screen. Any time I think maybe I should go back to the 8900 and end up switching back in less then a day later. I say go for the storm!!!
