wow, did you try the storm at verizon before , really try it or just tinker with it for a few and then buy it?

I went in on 4 different days to the verizon store where I live. they have 4 storms on display. I tried all 4 and all had different errors, glitches.

I was disappointed that RIM threw this phone together like this without "testing it".
Instead they let the public be their guinea pigs.

Reminds me of my 04 malibu maxx, first year made with plenty of "glitches".

Well it is a small waste of time but you got to "experience" the storm.

I really like BB but just don't like their browser. But I really did not care for the storm but almost went for it until I asked about wifi. None.

The little 8330 was cute that I tried and the wifi was 100% smokin! always quick to pick up my router at home or work.

My BB's are sleeping for a while.

It very well could be a defective device, have you ever thought of that? The storm does require some patience and they are working on another software update. I personally think its worth hanging in there. I love my storm and have no problems with it at all.

there is a lot of truth to bbeker555's words clarkkent55NY....

When I first got my storm it did have some problems, but I quickly came onto pinstack(and from what I can see from you, u are a veteran) and read up on everything...

But I do agree that it is hard letting go of another BB device, it was for me when I let my sibling take control of my 8830......now it has a pink case, and some poodle themes........

i just don't know where I went wrong, I mean, I always carried him in a nice leather pouch, never dropped him...I guess it's just his rebellious teen years LoL (i've got no life after 10)

I guess it could be defective but just playing with it for a few hours, I now see how many apps I have that aren't compatible. Plus the typing IMHO is pathetic! I just isn't for me! My 8330 is sucha solid and powerful device. I was stupid for even thinking the storm would be better, at least at this point.

so you made a bad choice. we all do . If you are with verizon then stick with your 8830.
You know how to type on that. I had a difficult time with the storm also. But my mechanic fingers are too fat. And just really didn't like it but that was becasue I was coming from the 8100 and 8830 myself.

Eventually I settled for the Iphone.
