This has been asked a thousand times, searching the forums would've returned a quick answer to the question. The 9500 is GSM (i.e. AT&T, T-Mobile in the US), the 9530 is CDMA (Verizon), other than that they are the same.

Yes, it's a "world phone" and has a GSM SIM card, but if you're using it in the US you're probably only going to use it on CDMA. I figured I'd keep it simple and to the point in the original reply.

Yup that sums it all up. If you are in the US there's no way you will be on GSM. It will only switch when CDMA isn't available.

I am planning to buy an unlocked storm and using it with T-Mobile. I do travel overseas for holiday once a year.

Which one should I buy 9500 or 9530.

    Thanks in advance
