No release date. Only speculation. I have no doubt in my mind that RIM will come correct with this model though.
I haven't anticipated the release of a device so anxiously since before the 88xx & 83xx series was announced.

ANyone hear if it's supposed to be touch screen or not? It was a rumor I heard, but I read to compete with Apple RIM's newest model is supposed to have touch screen capabilities. Anyone able to confirm this?

Re: Who's ready for the 9000?

I like a clean screen and a touch screen is not a clean screen. I have a friend that has a Palm and it has "wear marks" where she's been touching the screen. The solution would be to just put a screen protector on, but my 8300 Curve works fine without a touch screen, or protectors. If I really wanted a touch screen, I'd just buy an IPhone.

On a side note, I like the "candy-bar" style of the Curve and other Blackberrys. A slider, or "flip" doesn't interest me. Sliding or flipping would just be one more motion, before I could get my Blackberry fix.
Greetings from the Land of OZ!
