Is it safe to say, there are no problems with Canadian made Bolds?

Anyone with a Canadian made unit that had problems?

i had a hungarian bold that had a creaky bezel, sent it back, got a canadian one that was fine, but now has "developed" a somewhat creaky battery door. its not overly creaky, just everyone in a while it will creek. it also isnt tight and has a very slight give from side to side

On my 4th CAD Bold. The previous 3 all had issues with them. First one the keyboard was stiff as a board and I couldn't type on. The 2nd one the battery was super loose and kept restarting my BB every time I put it down. The 3rd one had super creaky sides and back, the screen had a wierd discolouration on the bottom, the strip between the keyboard and LCD was super loose and moved around a lot, the volume buttons stopped working, and the speakerphone had crazy feedback.

Hopefully this one doesn't have any of those problems. LOL!

Well, I don't know where my prev Bolds were made.
But the thing is that the 3rd on I own is a Canadian one.

On the other hand is that the Curve and my previous Pearls I owned were made in Hungary.
And I don't want to belive that the production in Hungary gets worser than on the 'older' units.

My 8310 was made in Hungary and I didn't have one single problem with it. It ran 4.2 and didn't skip a beat, then I switched to 4.5 and use as back up to Bold. My two cents.

My Curve 8310 was built in Hungary, the build quality is outstanding. It came with OS ver. 4.2.2.170 which ran perfectly for a year, and still does. It can easily go for another year.

It's now the backup to my Bold, made in Canada. A device that I have loaded and reloaded different OS versions on no fewer than 8 times, just to get it to operate properly.

What if I was a mainstream user that did not know how to do an OS upgrade / downgrade?

Just what might my impression be of my new $300 smartphone? Especially considering my neighbor spent only $200 for his iPhone which works very well thank you.

Hello RIM? Anybody home? Anybody care?

For sure archer. I just got back from at&t with my bold #2. I asked the rep to see if he had any that were made in canada. His first reply was that all blackberry are made in the same place and there is no difference. I didn't argue I just repeated my request. He did go back and look. He found one , the rest he said were made in mexico. my first bold from the same store came from hungary. This one feels completely different. No more creaks, the keyboard feels way better. #1 felt hard but nothing sticking. #2 feels very tightly built. I can say that this one feels like a high quality device. Very happy so far. Defiantly glad I went and exchanged it. Let's see how this one does. Thanks for all the help stackers. ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

At&t bold is lighter and I know they should weigh the same. But mine and my little brother's are lighter..
