What happened to lock & screen-off?

On my 8820 (4.5) when I assigned the convenience key to the Lock "application" whenever I pressed it the device would lock (password screen) and then 1-2 seconds later (or so) will turn off the screen.

Now with the Bold it takes about 10 seconds or so to turn off the screen.

    Tnx. Ix

you should be ab le to shorten the screen "on" time
I believe it would be under options and screen/keyboard options

    hope that helps

The lock screen timeout is different than the regular screen timeout.
The regular screen timeout on mine is set to 45sec but the lock one powers off after 10sec.
I'd love to have it at 2sec but there doesn't seem to be way to tweak it.

My point is that 4.6 lock screen takes much longer compared to 4.5 lock screen.

I wish there was an app that would simply turn off the screen and lock the device at the same time.

    Thanks.

Why not just press the mute button for a few seconds to put device on standby mode...screen goes off within a few seconds. You can press the mute button again to "unlock" or take out the standby mode.

I really want to lock & standby on demand (rather than just wait for the lock timeout), holding the mute button only solve the 2nd half (standby)...

I guess it does not exist (yet), I hope a developer (Autostandby seems like a good fit) can add this feature.
