    You can also use BBSAK to wipe the device. It will also allow you to save your 3rd party apps, if you have any, which will help ease the pain of a wipe just a little.

    BB is buzzing again! After a number of failed attempts to connect to or install on the device without a battery I popped the battery in and the Application Loader could connect AND install the OS on the device. However the option to back up the device was not available in the menu's and in fact it did a full wipe. Through BBSAK the applications are now being restored. At least the device is working again. Hope all will be functioning well. Thanks for you time guidance. I appreciate. And BBSAK is worth every penny of the 5 bucks.

    DM version 6, but ran the OS load through AL of the OS itself 5.0.0.842, if I remember well.

    Go to My Documents>BlackBerry>Backup. See if there's a file in there with today's date on it.

    Well that sucks. AppLoader should have created a backup for you.

    I will get by. It's more important that by BB is working well. Will restore an older data back up and take it from there.
