    Vlingo on Bold

I installed Vlingo on my 9000 Friday and really liked it. But I noticed a MAJOR battery drain with it. Has anyone else experienced this? I had to delete it. I mean, it was draining my battery at least 30% faster.

Doesn't affect me either. What OS are you using?

I installed Vlingo on Saturday and Sunday my battery didn't not even last a day. I recharged last night and when I turned on this morning the battery showed 95% without even using the Bold. I have since removed Vlingo from my Bold and the battery status is now 100%. This app really drains the battery.

I just installed it - I've always been annoyed by speech recognition software but vlingo actually works!? I hope it's not a battery killer because - I can't believe it - but I really dig this app!

... so if I understand this correctly, I could speak out emails instead of typing them?

Correct. I use this program often for sms messenges.

By the way, on my 8320 and my previous 8310, both running 4.5, battery life was not affected. The program is in standby until the side button is pushed and you start speaking. I don't understand the battery drain you are having.

I checked to see if I had any other apps running in the background, which I did. I closed them and also turned off my bluetooth when not in use and this seems to have resolved the problem.
