    Question Synchronizing alternatives

Hi - My company recently created a policy which no longer allows personal smart phones / PDAs to be connected to company devices. As a result, later this year I will lose the ability to synch my calendar, contacts, notes and tasks with my BB. Are there any creative ideas about how to get these to my device without using desktop manager at work? Exporting to PST may work, however, the PSTs are too large to email as we have email size restrictions in place.

    Thanks in advance,

You may want to take a look at Google Sync.

I second the Google Sync suggestion...
You should be able to sync your company data to Google Sync, then set up your BB to sync with Google Sync.

Wanna hear something cool? I dont know if you can access gmail at work, but if you can, you can acctually import your work outlook file into gmail, then run google sync on your phone and viola, depending on how many contacts you have, its a fairly quick process from start to finish. But any updates you make in outlook will show in google contacts if you run the import wizard again.

One thing to note, some fields will be ported to the notes area on your BB and some may not completely cross over.

I should have added that all web email is blocked from direct access. So gmail, yahoo mail, etc. are not directly accessible from within the corp firewall. We can send email to an external account, but the file size is limited.

Using Google Sync, you can synch calendar and contacts only:

Outlook <-> Gmail <-> Blackberry (via Google Sync)

Not sure if that helps you out. Tasks & notes I wish google sync handles, but unfortunately it doesn't.

Can you use a flash drive or have they disabled that as well ? Take the pst home and import it into google at home?
