    Soft Reset For Bold

I'm having a heck of a time getting ANY of the soft reset programs to work on my 9000. Tried OTA and zip for soft rest and quick pull-no luck. Are those compatible with the Bold? I keep getting the "uncaught exception" error. I went into my app list and played with the permissions, but to no avail. Can someone advise?

    Chokem,

I don't know if Soft Reset is workable for the 9000 but you might try Quick Pull and see if it works. It's another option and does essentially the same thing as well as being able to schedule reboots if you're into that.

thanks JB. Do you think I need to alter my permissions in any way? I had this for my 8301 and it worked great.

Don't know about that. You can always go into them if it doesn't work and set them all to allow. Often a program will offer the chance to set them at the download. Try it - you should be fine and you can always "adjust" the permissions.

yeah...all permissions should be set to allow. you've probably already done all the normal stuff but do the ole battery pull,if that don't work delete the program and reinstall it.

Ok, just downloaded Quick Pull OTA, I think I know where I went wrong, when I tried to access it it asked me if I wanted to start or run the program and I selected start, I probably should have let it run, like you do after you DL an OS to your PC. Im going to delete it and start over.

i haven't used a soft reset since owning my 8100 ... the qwerty can be reset by alt/shift/delete

Do you have any upgrades available? 8900? jk

    And yes, Alt-Shift-Delete works wonderfully.
