SMS leaves a shadow in email inbox
Whenever I get an incoming SMS, it creates a "shadow" entry in my main e-mail in-box that reads like this;
Message status: Message included an invalid address
//+[sender's telephone #]
I have tried two things;
Message options->General options->SMS and Email inboxes->Separate
Neither makes any difference. Any bright ideas? BTW I'm with o2 UK and use device software v18.104.22.1686

when did this start (what were you doing immediately before the first time it happened)? has your blackberry always done this? did it happen after an os upgrade?
find another o2 bb user, and check their SMS options (in the options menu), and make sure that yours match theirs... sending over the right type of network, etc.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, this particular device has done this since I got it. It is a replacement handset under warranty. The carrier said they would send a jiffybag to post the old phone back to them, but it never arrived. I will compare the settings on the two; I hadn't thought of that. Cheers!
The settings on both phones were the same. HOWEVER....
....from the BB App store, I had downloaded an app called SMS Msg relay UK that is meant to allow you to forward SMS as e-mail or vice versa. I never did get the hang of how to use it effectively and it was this software that afforded me the dubious privilege of receiving every text three times. I have now deleted it and all is well.
