    SIM card not working

I've been having problems with sending/receiving sms text, called ATT and they did what ever they do. But, i didn't work. Now about 4hrs later, my phone isn't recognizing my SIM card. Any ideas?

Just put the SIm card in my 8820, works fine. So it's the phone. Now, what?

    TIA,
    Ross

i don't know if this will work, but someone told me it did for them, take out your sim and clean it, also check the connectors where the sim card goes, cleaning ur sim might work,...let us know if it worked,,,,

I just got back from the ATT store, they tried a new card and cleadned the contacts. After a wipe it wouldn't boot-up, so they gave me a new phone.

Not sure if this is a good thing or not.

Remember that's why products have warranties, they are mass produced and cannot all be perfect. Be happy that AT&T gave you good service and a new phone. This one will be fine.

    Cheers

Well, my initial problem is back. If I restore the new phone from my backup file, I loose the ability to send/receive text messages. If I selectively install the info I want, I keep the ability to send/receive text.
