Do you have your current OS on your PC? You should be able to restore your third party applications that way.

BBSAK is a good way in the future to backup and restore third party apps, I usually had to go back and download third party apps if I didn't use BBSAK. As Roger was saying you can use the app loader from the dm to put most apps back on to your phone from your backup.

I'm sorry, I misunderstood. You can try going into the Advanced portion of the backup/restore,or the Application Loader, but I think based on the information provided you're going to have to reinstall your 3rd party apps.

Have you done an OS upgrade recently? The OS upgrade does back up third party apps.

Try the other methods first, but if that doesn't work, you would be able to go in and choose the backup file you want to restore from. It would be prefaced with LoaderBackup-(date).ipd.

No, I'm pretty sure that will restore everything on the backup. There may be an option to restore only the 3rd party apps, but I'm not in a position to verify that.

Cool. Haven't used BBSAK extensively, but sounds like a great tool for that sort of thing.

That thread says to use CrackUtil, but you might be able to accomplish the same thing with BBSAK.

All progs restores and seems fine now except that when I do a battery pull ... i get an error that i have to click OK on.

Uncaught exception: pushModalScreen called by a non event thread.

    Any ideas ?

It's some sort of Java error. Go into your Event Log and look for any errors that appear in bold font.

From the homescreen, press and hold the left ALT key, then type LGLG. Scroll down 'til you find one of those bolded errors, then highlight and click on it. Should give you some clue as to what application or maybe a theme might be causing the error, then you can delete and reinstall.
