I have an unlocked bold. Everything is ok, but when I read or delete an email on the device, Gmail do not marked as readed or deleted. The email reconciliation is Delete On: Mailbox and Handheld. Yahoo works great and update all in less than a sec.
This is my first BB with this issue.
Any one have this problem?
Well now works with the deleted one, but not the readed.

I've also seen it occur that my gmail mail is left "unread" on the comp when it is received on my Bold. In all fairness I never really cared, I haven't answered or even checked my email on my pc since I got my Bold and if I do I just select all messages and mark them all as read so I don't think I have new and urgent mail.
~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~ although you can sync your google inbox with your bb, deleting, saving, or replying to an e-mail from your bb will not show so in your physical gmail account. I am not sure why this is, but that's how it goes.
I think its because GMail is a free web only service, if you were to forward/push email from your ISP I'm guessing things would work out differently.

Instead of using POP3, try IMAP which works more fluidly.

Im on IMAP. The problem was that when I changed to my second bold, the "Synchronize deleted items between this mailbox and my device" was not selected. BIS uncheck the gmail one but not the yahoo.

Maybe I'll give IMAP a shot, I honestly just never took the time to fix it because I do 100% of my email from my Bold now.
Imap on a gmail is not supported by rim push technology. Your device will survey random for emails on imap gmail. Pop gmail is much quicker (but, as you've experienced, there is no synchronization then.)
