Question: Why is my keyboard different?

I just purchased my Bold from AT&T a couple of weeks ago. I JUST noticed some recent pics of the Bold online at different sites that the NUMBERS on the keyboard are red! My keyboard NUMBERS AND LETTERS are all white. It really does not matter really, but does that mean I got some kind of early version of the Bold? Are there any other people with an all white keyboard in both numbers and letters?

All of the AT&T Bold units have white numbers. The images of Bolds you are seeing with red number are not AT&T units.

All the AT&T branded Bolds have white lettering.

The international Bolds, like Rogers, and T-Mobile (Germany) have the red and white letters.

Your Bold is normal, so no worries.

    Hope this answers your question.

My AT&T Bold, also has white numbers & letters on the keys. Actually I like the clean balanced look it gives the keyboard. Also when one takes into consideration the number keys are the same place they've always been on BlackBerry's qwerty keyboards, it's no problem.

    Cheers...

WOW. You need to ask for an exchange soon. White keyboards means that your blackberry is a demo from the factory. You will get a pin lock soon. Go RUSH to ATT... JUST KIDDING

Who is to say that white is normal?

If the rest (entire) world has red keys and only AT&T US has white keys. I would venture to say that red is normal and white is abnormal.

Since AT&T was the last to get the Bold. If anything you have a later release of the Bold not a pre-release.

    I guess AT&T is special

AT&T always wants to be different, they went for the white lettered keyboard. Youc an change it to red but you will void your warranty swapping out the keyboard.

I have an AT$T Bold and I replaced my white keys with the red ones. I just love the way it looks, and it is easier to find at night.
