Hard to tell too much about battery as I can not keep my hands off if the phone, will know better today. I do about 50-60 emails and about 2000 minutes a month on the phone and little Internet.

As far as RF, I would say equal of a bar better than the Bold 1

OS speed is faster than the Bold 1.

For those who DO alot of Internet the track pad makes all the difference in the world. Movement of the cursor is smooth and predictable. No more scrolling and scrolling to move small amounts and then have the cursor jump. The cursor move very predictably like it should. The track pad is the one greatest improvement the 9700 has over all other past devices.

Is it? or are they the same size? Congrats!!!
I think the battery looks bigger because the device is smaller. I did not hold them side by side but I think they are about the same if not exactly the same. You can remove the back and take out the Media Card now without removing the battery.

I would also like to apologize for the images not being as good as they could be but I sacrificed the image quality to do my OS upgrade. So instead of getting out the D3, I use the DL4.

Battery is lasting very good, at least as good as the Bold 1. The new OS is really nice and operates rather well. All apps are works as they are supposed to operate.

may i ask you for a side by side comparison? also do you know if that is the same os that will be delivered with?
When i say i have Bold family phones, I meant it, from the older to the younger, even the unborn ;)

Side by side comparison? As in pictures? The Bold 1 and Bold 2 are pictured side by side on my pBase site. Are you talking about just the batteries? Not sure about the OS. I was loaned this T-Mo unit that I put my AT&T SIM in. Next week I am supposed to get a AT&T 9700 which is the real deal with their final OS or at least they hope it is. I updated the T-Mo OS last night.

If I read that 'about' screen correctly, your unit has 3G on 900, AWS (the 1700 MHz band T-Mobile USA & WIND Canada are using), and the 2100 MHz band in use in most of the world, but not the 850 or 1900 MHz bands that AT&T & Rogers use. I guess this is why AT&T is getting their own unit.
