    Question Pandora issue on Bold

I'm having an issue with Pandora on my Bold. When I have Pandora running the device will not ring or stop playing music for an incoming call. I have reverted back to the os ver 4.6.0.167.

I have tried resetting the firewall prompts and has able to get an incoming call once but tried calling my BB 10 more times and nothing.

Any one else experiencing this? Any one have any ideas?

    Thanks

Did you try removing the application and reinstalling? I have pandora installed since it was release and did not have an issue with incomming calls.

What version of pandora do you have currently?

Yes, this morning I completely wiped the device with JL_Cmdr re-loaded the OS then installed Pandora from their site.

Pandora version is 1.00.00, is there another version available? Where would I get it?

    Thanks

When you wiped out your OS and re-installed, did you do a backup restore first or after installing pandora? i believe 1.0 is the only version out currently.

Just uninstalled and reinstalled. Noticed version is now 1.0.1. Still no change. I also tried to change Pandora's application permissions to Allow everything and nothing.

Any one have any other ideas?

    Thanks

I think its a good time to email pandora support, it can be an isolated issue or others might have the same problem.

Official word from Pandora Support - it's a known issue and limitation with the EDGE network. I didn't mention on an earlier post but I don't have 3G in my area. Guess I'll have to wait until 3G is available.

Below is what was emailed to me:
    > What you describe is a unfortunately just a general limitation of EDGE
    > cellular-network technology, and isn't unique to Pandora.
    > (Even without Pandora, occasionally you'll get a call bounced to
    > voicemail or a delayed text because you're surfing the web-- or using
    > another internet-connected application on your Blackberry-- when
    > connected via EDGE. It's just that since Pandora uses data more
