I am thinking of purchasing a Rogers Bold with no OS on the phone.

The person did an OS update and messed it up. It says "No Application Linked (Factory OS)". I'm not sure if this can be fixed or not. Before I make a purchase I want to know if just reloading the Rogers OS for the Bold will fix this problem. Does anyone have any knowledge with this.

    Thanks for all your help,

    Kim

Most likely it could be fixed using something like JL Commander, but I haven't bricked a Blackberry to this extent (mine had an OS, just a corrupted OS, so it booted up partially and then threw up an error message). Hopefully, others who have bricked their BB to a greater extent than I did will chime in.

I have used this thread a couple of times to bring a phone back from the dead. I think it's possible, but buy at your own risk. Make sure that you download and install the Rogers OS before you start the re-install. Must be getting a good deal on it?
