I saw the AT&T official release title bar and immediately thought it contained the BB software update for the existing Curve's etc. No go. :-( How disappointing are you AT&T? Missing product launch dates / infuriating users with slow software updates? How much more do I have to put up with?

Im still, to this very day, reading horror stories of people upgrading to random Carrier 4.5s.

I know its possible, and most the time is all good, but i cant risk it, i have in the past with previous OS versions. But i think i would feel more safe with an official carrier...and even then, any OS could have problems i guess

    maybe one day
All you need to do is just back your stuff up down load the new OS, load and bang your BB curve is good to go no problems for about 2 weeks. Its nice.

If you could get 4.5 for the Curve, I would suggest sticking with a Curve. I have a Bold and am not really that impressed by it. Harder to fit in your pocket, bigger in your hand, battery life sucks... all so you can get 3G (which I don't even notice), and have high resolution screen (when do I have time to watch movies on my PHONE). None the less, cool peice of equipment. I can't wait to try out the Storm, that I think will be more for the consumer.

1 thing I noticed when doing this backup, I had to type my password in to the device in order to continue to restore process after the upgrade was done. Something I've never noticed before when upgrading.

So if your restore gets stuck, look at your device and type the password in.

    Cheers,
    -Sam.

No sorry, they are device specific and they are model specific. Only 8300 on 8300, 8320 or 8330 OS won't work on 8300 etc.
