Has anyone had trouble with this upgrade? Everything seemed to go well until the end, when Desktop manager said the applications could not be loaded. Usually not a big deal because I can just go to the backup file and load them manually. But when I try to do that, all of the files in the backup are greyed out, and there are no files listed on the right (the ones already on the device, under 'device database')....and just before that, I get the 'no device connected' message. Anyone have any ideas before I go back to the original OS?

I just checked Sprint's site, and for the 8830, they still have no updated OS.

No idea. Maybe you lost your USB connection as you were upgrading the device.

    ???

Were talking about the Bold 9000 here. Sorry if it was confusing.

Thanks Ranxoren! I did get it figured out. I unfortunately posted this in the wrong place and don't think I can move it myself. See the other thread (basically I discovered that I can do a full restore but can't do it selectively). Seems to be working fine and I'm hoping for better battery life and improved 3G reception.

The software is device specific therefore you cannot use Bold software on the Curve. At the beginning of the file name it shows what device the software it is intended for (9000M_PBr4.6.0_rel326_PL4.0.0.169_A4.6.0.185_TIM_I taly).

Maybe I'm confused, but I didn't think .185 was a beta...just an official release that hasn't come to this country yet. Isn't there a distinction? (I'm referring to Ranxoren's post about it being the wrong forum)
