If you think the actual BlackBerry browser is fast you will be blown away by the speed of Opera Mini!! Especially if you're using WiFi. Give it a try... you've got nothing to lose, and a lot of free time to gain!!

Opera 5 Beta 2 is tremendous, slick interface, VERY fast, full html browsing. I use it when I need to view a page in full html and then I use the BB native browser for any mobile friendly pages. I can definately recommend Opera mini

I contacted Mozilla some time back about getting Fennec, their mobile FireFox browser, on the BlackBerry platform and was told it basically wasn't going to happen. The coding languages they said would be way too difficult to redo or port.

That's the impression I got months ago when I looked into it. Although no one actually said it wasn't going to happen they were VERY discouraging.

Just tried Opera Mini 5 Beta 2, its really fast but the font is tiny. If you increase the siz of the font then it ovewrites and gets messy. So its still has a ways to go (at least for me since my eyesight is not as good as it used to be.

I hope it will be fixed as it is the fastest borwser I have used so far and it displays the pages well

Ignore if it tells you it's not tested to work on your device, it works fine on 5.0.
