I have used Opera Mini in the past with other devices and it has been nice for realistic looking pages, the newest versions are supposed to be less bulky as well. I have not used Bolt.

The BB Browser, while not flashy gets the job done most of the time for me. Has it been coming up short for you on some sites?

I have used all three and IMO the best out of the three is the Bolt Browser...

I've always used the blackberry browser. I have opera for those stubborn pages, which are few.

Bolt was ok, but beta 2 caused a forced reboot. When an app takes control away from me its gone.

Keep in mind that often you can change the blackberry browsers identity to IE or Firefox, which may help on some pages that are difficult.

This is probably a dumb question, but how do you change the identity of the BB Browser?

I see it now, under browser configuration.

    Not dumb at all.
Open your browser, menu-options-browser config. You'll see it about halfway down.

Now does that change performance, or does it just change the way that the site recognizes you?

Changes the way you see the page. Try it with pinstack, but clear your cache first.

Thanks, I just ran a test on pinstack.com and a few other pages. Interesting stuff. I can see how some pages will be better when looking at them in IE of Firefox mode. Has anyone used the other browsers that are pre installed?

Hotspot Browser, Internet Browser or MEdia Net?

Media net is a wap browser, won't be able to change ident. I never use it.
Hotspot, well never got wireless to work. Maybe after I jump to 5.0 later today.

Hotspot will only work if you're on wireless as far as I know.

Just to cast one more vote: BB Browser probably the easiest to use but lacks total browser features, Opera Mini, reliable and does most everything, Bolt, not totally reliable yet but has some good features and getting better with each release.
