If that's the case, then you don't have your 9700s OS installed on the computer. You can install it via download or from the cd that came with your 9700

And if you don't have the cd you can download it from RIM's website. http://na.blackberry.com/eng/

Bad news on the 9700: The deal fell through and I won't get it. But I did see an 8520 in Wal Mart today for under $1 with a 2 yr contract extension. I JUST extended my contract in March to get the Touch Pro 2 which I still have. What would I pay if I was to take advantage of the store price?

Ugh, that's a drag. Sorry you have to "settle" for a 8520.....it's a far cry from the 9700.

I MAY wait for the 9300 Curve. I was just wondering if it was safe to pick up the 8520 just to carry me over until next March when the 9300 comes out. I thought it would work out myself. A friend of mine had traded her T-Mo 9700 for a Boost Mobile 8330. She thought she was going to get it back but the person wasn't willing to give it up without getting the Boost phone back.

If you have the finances, I would buy a 9700 off Craigslist or post here that your looking for one at a reasonable price. That way you don't have to up your contract until the 9300 comes out. The 9700 is the best one to get right now. IMO.

I was at Wal Mart earlier today and saw an 8520 but no 9700. I have 3 reloadable gift cards I got from college graduation that I can load the cost of it on and pick it up that way between now and March (with tmo's new yearly upgrade option). But I may be so happy with what I can get that I may bypass the 9300 LOL
