I hated it too until I installed the .210 version of firmware. Now its smoking fast just like the other ATT phones. Wifi is faster than ever also.

Unfortunately no, but the BB browser is more usable after .210, RIM just has to fix the smaller font sizes and word wrap issue.

I agree. after .210 it's better. i think you can mess with that in the options.

Unfortunately there is no fix for the issues with font sizes and word wrap, we're still waiting for RIM to churn out yet another OS update for the Bold that addresses things.

I'm constantly bouncing back and forth between Opera Mini and the BB browser for different reasons as each have their strong points and downsides but better to have two options to cover all your bases then be stuck with one solution that leaves a lot to be desired.

The more I use Opera Mini, the more I enjoy it, and the lighting speed it typically delivers. At this juncture, at least with the reliable and fast ver .210 my Bold is very satisfying.

Speed is not the reason I dislike the Bolds browser. It's the way it renders some web pages & most forums. It's so bad that Hayden had to do serious work on PinStack tp compensate for the poor BlackBerry browser.

I agree with you Archer. Besides the Bold being a brick-like sized device, the crappy browser is another reasom why I wrote the device off.

Since when does a measely 6mm extra width (over an 8900) make it a Brick?
