If you go into profiles and then advanced. Select the profile that you use when you go to sleep. Then select the type of notification you want to modify (messages, sms, facebook, etc), then you can change the option fo number of beeps or number of vibrations.

    gone....Welcome to Pinstack!

Go to your Profiles icon and select Advanced, and then the Active profile. Scroll down to Messages and select. There you can set your notifications.

Gone, I think Gary and 8800 have it covered by I just wanted to add that you will see a list of Messages (MMS, SMS), Email Messages, Phone, etc., and you can change the notification preferences for all of those things. You can change everything from the number of rings, number of vibrations, in/out of holster, etc., for each profile. You can set it up so that at night, your phone vibrates two times then rings once if you want. This is one of my favorite things about the blackberry. I want my ringer loud when it's in the holster (I'm usually on a job site), but medium when it's out of the holster (usually sitting on my desk). I also setup a couple of different profiles too, one for at night, one for when I'm in meetings, and then the loud profile I use most often. Keep in mind that you have to use the holster that came with your berry or a compatible holster with the magnet in it for the in/out of holster sensing to work.

Don't think you can do that with just the device alarm. Might be a 3rd party app that does it, but I think the only way you can do it on your device as is would be to set the alarm in intervals, like set the alarm for one time, then again for 5-10 minutes later.....something like that.

Instead of setting an alarm, I generally set a calendar appointment. It allows you to set more of them... I use it to mark an alarm that occurs twice a day.

Good God, if your blackberry doesn't wake you up in three rings, the best thing I can recommend is strapping a boombox to the side of your head!

Seriously though, don't know if it's much help, but I did notice that some of the "alarm" tones are much louder, or seem much louder anyway because of their pitch. Maybe changing the ringtone will help? I know it's not exactly what you were looking for, but just thought I'd offer that little tidbit.
