Google Talk on Bold?

I installed google talk OTA on my Bold (it does have the most updated OS through AT&T) but I can't sign in, I keep getting an unexpected server error. I've tried searching here and Google, but haven't found a solution... any suggestions?

Google Talk is a good App, but JiveTalk is better and it has Google Talk on it as well. I just transferred my license to my Bold without any problems. www.Beejive.com its worth a 30 trial, check it out...

I really only use google talk tho, and don't really want to pay for a client if I can just get gt working. I do appreciate the link tho, this will tide me over until I can (hopefully) get this resolved. :} Cheers!

Interesting... JiveTalk gives a server error for google talk too...?

When went to set up your google talk account, did you type in the entire email address? If not, you have to type in the entire email address inorder for it to work.
Try this and let us know....

...I had google talk on my curve and it worked fine, but i can't seem to get the darn thing working on mah bold. *cries*

i would say jivetalk to just installed it on me BOLD

I found the trick was that I was using the wrong username. It didn't like my secondary account name (that I usually log into my google account with) and I had to go with the @google.com address. Then it worked fine.

Odd... I though it used to work the other way too...

I've always logged in using my yahoo email and it always worked.. i tried my gmail email and yaaaay! You ROCK!
