    I've found something

Even though I'll still use your wi-fi
And you will still be in my pockets
I'll miss all the wonderful data
    That makes you you..
So I'm off now to explore this thing
    Called the Iphone

    Hahaha, that's good.

I had the Bold also and switched to the iPhone. Needless to say I am glad I did.

So without further adoooo............ Welcome to the world of the Apple, where everything is simple and easy to use.

I can't leave without saying tho, my Bold was by far the best BB i have ever used. It's a rock solid phone and I would not hesitiate to go back in the event the iPhone exploded and Apple ceased to make another.

My experiences with the new 3Gs posted here:

I also went from the Bold to the iPhone. I have no regrets. Safari has to be the best browser I have ever used on any phone. I didn't think I could get used to the keyboard but I love it. I'm on a 3g with the new 3.0 update. There's nothing like downloading movies (rent or buy) directly to your phone and watching them. The same thing goes for music and iTunes. iPhone email is also alot better than folks are willing to give it credit for also. I have no desire to go back to my Bold.

For those of you who don't know, gqswagga, is my roommate. While I'm happy she found a new toy. I do consider the iphone a home wrecker. Lol. Everyone in the house had a blackberry. Heck I even got my mom, sisters, and girlfriend on the BB train. GQ, our BBM conversations will be missed (traitor) lol.

I did the iPhone for a while and it is quiet a nice device and if you are doing alot of Internet, the browser is surperior to the Bold hands down! NUT, I am a email person and I have found no device that does it better than the Blackberry.

That does not stop me from wanting the 3Gs!

I switched to a Bold recently from an iPhone and both phones have their own pros and cons for me.

    iPhone over Bold

-Safari browser is way better then the bb browser.
    -high quality youtube streaming.
-all the nice and fun apps from their app store.
    -The bigger screen.

    Bold over iPhone

-Has an actual keyboard to make typing near perfect.
    -Email (enough said)
-The speaker sounds more crisp and is much louder then the iphone.
-BB Messenger since most of my friends have BB and no one has an iPhone so it's a perk for me to chat with my buddies.
-Ability to expand storage via mini sd card.

There's probably more to list from both categories but those are the major ones for me that I can think of at this moment. The iPhone is a great phone and it has given so much entertainment. I just really missed having an actual keypad since I do a lot of emailing and txting. Once you get use to the touch screen, typing is pretty easy on the iPhone but I'd rather have a keypad so I can feel the keys.

    dear Z,

You made some excellent points. I think that no one phone is best for everyone. althogh i have a curve, i do think that the 3gS and Bold have their differing strengths.
What is unique is that apple is closing the gap that was once "markedly large" b/twn iphone and bb with apple's 3.0 launch and the 3gS itself.

we are going to try the 3gS in Aug and if ATT doesn't give us good coverage (w/tmo now) then we'll go to VZW to see if their coverage is better.

I guess i'm trying to say that the features of a phone are important but hands down EVERYONE needs a phone that can just "BE A PHONE" sometimes (hold and maintain calls).
