    Hi All

I have just updated my BB9700 with the desktop manager, everything is working well, except one of my email icons have dissappeared, which is even more odd as my emails for that address are coming through to the "messages" folder.

I have done a battery pull- didnt help. I deleted and and reset the email account with orange- didnt help....

    can anyone assist please??

Have you checked to see if it was inadvertently hidden.......from the icon screen hit menu/show all. That's my two cents (or pents) since that has happened to me before......sometimes they also show up in subfolders.

    Hope that helps.

Unfortunately- it is not present in any of the sub folders, nor is it hidden- all has been checked....any other recommendations?

Log into your BIS, check your settings for that email, and you can also resend service books. I just upgraded to the 9700 and I had to switch device and reset up my email via BIS website.

You could go to Options > Advance > Host Routing Table > find the bold one > Menu > Register.

Did you try logging into your BIS? Have you tried to run the set up wizard?

I think you just need to resend service books as TNgal22 suggested...

Ran the set up wizard- nothing. Is there something I need to delete prior to resending the service books. Anyone who wants to talk me through it, thanks in advance.

You shouldn't have to delete anything. Just log into BIS, my account (I think), resend service books. Be sure to make sure your email account is correct and has a check beside it before you resend the service books.

Either go into your email settings on your device and log in with your username & password or go to https://bis.eu.blackberry.com/html?brand=orangeuk on your PC and log in... once logged in on the left side of the screen under "settings" select "help", after this select "send service books", if you're on your BB, log in and select help and send service books... hopefully this should fix your issue...

Maybe log back into your BIS, delete the email info, then reset it up. Other than that, I am out of ideas.

Log into your BIS, delete all email accounts, re-add them, resend service books, and go into your options host routing table & re-register... also make sure that none of your icons are hidden... if this doesn't work, I'd call into your wireless provider's tech support department
