    disable email redirection

    Hi,

Can anyone tell me if there is an easy way to disable email redirection.

On the older version of desktop manager there was an option you could change so that when the device was connected to the PC no email was sent to the device it just charged, I guess the principle being if your at your desk your able to process any incoming email. I quite liked this feature as it stopped clogging up the device with emails youve already read etc.

Anyone know if there is still a way of doing this.

    Thanks in advance

    D

Which version of Desktop Manager are you using? Are BES or BIS?

I am on a BES and have DM 4.6. The option to not forward messages is still in the Desktop Manager. It is under "Email Settings" and called "Turn off message redirection while my device is connected to my computer".

I'm using the same version as you 4.6 connected to a BES but I don't see that option all I have are icons for:- Application loader
    backup and restore
    device switch
    Media
    synchronize
    synchronize certificates.

    Any ideas?

is there an option in the installation of desktop manager I missed.

    Thanks Waddeng

Wow...that's strange. I wonder if this is an option on the BES? I have attached a picture of my Desktop Manager.

Let me look and see if I can find anything on this.

Thanks Waddeng, I reinstalled with new version and just went with typical installation all good, even though my telco insisted it was no longer a feature.

Ha! How many times do we have to get wrong information from providers?
