I recently dropped my 9700 and chipped the chrome on both sides. I can't stand see my 9700 hurt like this. Does anyone know if I can buy some chrome touch up paint for it? Thanks.

Yes you can, but I'm betting you would have to mask it and paint the entire piece. Also I don't think even if you did that you would be happy with it. Your best bet is to order a new chrome piece-sorry. Good luck, I know exactly how you feel, I couldn't stand it either.

Not sure how good that would look... I think you should just find a good case... previously I had a silicone case, now I have a iFrogz case... the only issue with the iFrogz case is that you have to buy it from AT&T... again, they have exclusive rights to another product.

You can buy at www.truesupplier.com or www.cnn.cn

Buy the top cover too because it made a unique part with chrome bezel

I replaced the housing, I like it much better. Also, I always use www.dealsishop.com for Blackberry parts.

i also saw someone on crackberry do a ghetto-fab DIY fixer-upper on his chrome bezel. He removed the bezel and with a very fine sandpaper buffed off all of the paint and chipped areas. it actually looked pretty good. it was matte of course and had a little bit of texture.

me personally, i'd just order a new housing and black it out.

I would order a new housing but I don't want to void the warranty.

Good idea... like I said, I think you should just buy a case, or at least a OEM silicone skin.

If you're still under warranty I would go with the silicone case other wise the new housings are pretty cool.

Just keep the original case and change it if you want. You dont have to remove any screws to change the housing, it snaps into place.
