Ahhhhh! Yes your right Snipes! I can see it on the old bezel, and not on the new black one. I also bought a new silver bezel and fyi it does have the little black screen on it.
Thanks Snipes! I'm gonna rebuild it now and swap it over.

Ok so I just changed the little tiny black screen at the top, and carefully placed it on the new bezel. Put everything back together, and tried it....
The screeching noise is still there!!
I think it is ghosts.... which means i need an exorcism lol

Make sure you press it and reseal it. Mine had the noise for a bit after i switched, but it went away after a few minutes. i took mine off with an xacto knife.

Hahhhaaa! Wow! The little screen caused such big problems. Too bad, I was hoping the mother ship had finally arrived... Good luck! And good job snipes.

I had these problems long ago and the screens not only HAVE to be in place but just as they were from the factory. They have to be seated and sealed against the case.

Ok guys I think I figured it out! (Fingers crossed).
I keep my phone in a silicone case lately, and its not OEM. Its one I bought online. So while listening the the noise, I shook the phone and noticed the pitch changed. Then I removed the case and the noise stopped altogether! I'm trying to think back, and I hink it was in this case every time I heard the noise.
I was sure I had done the bezel switch properly. I'm a BMW tech and have lots of experience fixing things and playing with small electronics.
If it comes back I'll post again... But hopefully that was the problem!
