I wouldn't call it my previous device because I'm keeping it, but I'm coming from the iPhone 3G. Right now I like the Bold, maybe not as much as the iPhone, but I plan on keeping both.

Immediately preceding the Bold I had a crimson 8310 and first gen iPhone. I've owned five WM phones as well as a Symbian phone in the 2 1/2 years since I got my first BlackBerry in May 2006. The Bold is my fifth (or sixth since I had two different versions of the Curve) BlackBerry: 8700->7130>-8300 and Pearl->crimson 8310->Bold
Thanks to my 'Berry, I'm only an e-mail away.

I just went from a modded 8310 with 4.5.0.55 Orange UK software to the Bold. If things continue its path I'm going back to the curve.

The interest started with the 7100g; then a prolonged affair with a Pearl 8100; now I'm in love with my shiny new Bold
    BB 7100g (R.I.P.)
    BB Pearl 8100 (R.I.P.)
BB BOLD 9000 (on the shelf)
    BB STORM (R.I.P.)

I had Q with sprint, made the switch to ATT betting on good timing. Got myself a curve and less than 30 days later I have my bold!!!

Love the Bold so far, the holster clip was not assembled right but I fixed that right away....lol

My previous phone is a Motorola RAZR V3. A quantum leap to the Bold. I am climbing the learning curve now ...

I am a Mac person but after 1.5 years with the iPhone. I missed my blackberry and would frequently play with my BB8700c.
The bold is amazing. This is my first evening with the bold and though I miss some things about the iPhone the candy bar style multimedia bonanza. As a phone it was terrible. The virtual keyboard never worked well. It had a mind of it's own and took 2x as long to text with.

Anyway. All hail the iPhone; but it's style over function. The BB has caught up since the 8700c and it's a joy to have a real keyboard.

    Peace all,
    I'm backberry.
