    Bold Battery

My phone seems to not charge when i plug it up to either the computer via usb cord or the wall with the bb wall charger. I'm pretty sure it's the battery(hope at least) but wasn't sure if i needed to spend the $40 for a new RIM battery or if i could get away with getting one of the knockoff batteries made for the bold that are cheaper. any suggestions

Once it is a batterry issue. I would recommend a siedo battery replacement:
    http://www.seidioonline.com/product-p/basi17bbx5.htm
    http://www.amazon.com/Seidio-Innocel.../dp/B002FU5QRA

Also make sure the USB port looks fine/not damaged/

i would stay away from any battery less than 25$- they will usually die within months, either get an oem battery or the seidio

^^ or blow up in your face. BB replacement is OK, Seidio also. But like Hayden says make sure your phone's connectors are ok first.

if i were u id avoid any knock off battery, could damage the device too for an overheating or shortcircuit
When i say i have Bold family phones, I meant it, from the older to the younger, even the unborn ;)

They need to make an extended battery for the 9700, the original battery sucks!
