yes, the speeds are very fast everywhere. In fact, even in wifi spots i perfer to use opera over EDGE than the wifi browser. The wifi browser gets caught up all the time. I only use it for youtube or downloading mp3s from webpages.

I just got it for T-Mobile and it works great. Just a lil bit of issues with the browser. Other than that it is awesome.

I like the AT&T comment at the bottom of the post.... =P
If you watch a game, it's fun. If you play it, it's recreation. if you work at it, it's GOLF!

Stumbled on this article. Hopefully this will help people who think they can get 3g on their Bold using T-Mobile!

FYI: I cross posted this in another thread - sorry for the dupe!

FilterMiller: Have you tested the UMA/WiFi calling - ever use this (excellent) service?

Will the BOLD WiFi work with T-Mo's UMA/HotSpot calling plan?

Anyone know and/or tested this? I would assume you woudl need the correct service book and/or certificates?

    T mobile UK

I have an unlocked Bold on T mobile UK. T mobile are not releasing the Bold in the UK until November. Software issues apparently. Are T mobile and AT&T the same?

Anyhow, no issues with 3G/2G. I get MMS, Emails, PINs, Browser, Facebook all sorts running good. Currently working with OS .126 which came with the phone. Battery life is ok, could be better. But its a beautiful thing.
    I love my Bold :)

guys i m using a Bold with T-Mobile in the US and i m having problems.. not only that there is no 3G on Tmo i cant even use the browser or applications like facebook or windows live messenger.. Somehow i managed to make my email and IM work but the rest is still not coming
i took the phone to Tmo store to get some help and they dont even know what to do.. I guess it's because of the browser options that the only option that i can use is the hotspot browser
i called bb customer service about that and they sent me some service books but it seems it didnt solve the problem.. does anyone here know a solution to this??

Under options, advanced options, service books. See if you have the service books for the applications you want to use. Has T-Mobile launched those applications? (if not, you can't use them on their network)

Oh...and the UMA thing? Guys, the Bold doesn't support UMA/GAN.

there is no solution at this point tmo doesnt support the 4.6 OS yet. until the pearl 2 comes out and they release a service book supporting 4.6 its a waiting game for us bold owners. 2nd option for internet browsing is install opera for now.
