BlackBerry Bold Camera Quality and Issues

Have searched high and low, and didn't find anything pertaining to these issues.

Day I got my Bold, the Pearl went into the drawer and completely neglected. Few weeks ago, I was wondering why my Bold picture quality was looking...poor. Pulled out the Pearl to compare a few shots. Anyone else notice a decrease in quality? Outdoors it looks better, however indoors, the Pearl wins (IMO).

Also - every time I open my Camera on my Bold, I get this popup.

There's definitely a difference in the pixel quality of those cameras, however, go into your camera application and press the menu key and scroll down to 'Options'. Check the settings there for 'Picture Size' and 'Picture Quality'.

The second sounds like you have an app trying to access your camera to upload photos. Do you have Facebook, MySpace, or anything else of that nature running in the background?

Both phones are set to their highest resolution settings.

And I have Facebook and MySpace both, but they aren't running while trying to use the camera.

    Solutions:
Amazing what a little dust can cause on the front of the lens. :P
As for the certificates: I found turning off the geotracking fixed it.

I was a little skeptical at first about the camera but the majority of the "quality" turned out to be related to dust/etc on the lense. Having the lense and flash sunk inside of the battery cover was a BAD design move IMO, might keep it safer, but visual quality quickly goes downhill and its not the easiest thing to fix on the go sometimes. Still...love my Bold and have never regretted the purchase.
