    What ranxoren said...

    Basically: 3 settings:

    1) Internet browser: Will try to go out on WIFI, if not available, will try your mobile network (edge or 3G). A small icon at the top of the browser will tell you what you are using. Connections here go directly out your blackberry to the internet.

    2) Blackberry Browser: Same thing. Will attempt to go out on WIFI first if available then your mobile network (edge or 3G). The difference is here is that ALL connections are routed through your corporate BES server. This is also the browser you'll need to use to go to WAP only sites (such as pinstack)

    3) HotSpot Browser: going out STRICTLY on wifi....it won't work if you don't have wifi. use this if you want to make sure you don't want to use your data plan

    4) Rogers MALL...not certain what that is i never bothered to try. I'm assuming its a browser pointing directly to their own page selling you ringtones and such

What do you mean "there is no option for bb browser"

    Can you be more specific?

My first question is do you have BB data plan in place on your account? If not, you will need one to get the browsers to show up. If so, you may need to resend your service books.

If I have the hotspot browser set as defult then it will obviously show wifi only. And when wifi is off it shows 3G only. What I dont get is how to tell if you using wifi with the internet browser. Currently I have both icons (3G and wifi). Hope this makes sense....
