You will probably want to completely wipe your device and start from scratch.

I'd also recommend that you delete whatever OS's you have on your PC/laptop, then re-download the OS you want to install to make sure you have a clean copy.

Check out BBSAK (www.bbsak.org). It's the BlackBerry Swiss Army Knife. Makes it easy to wipe your OS and you can even back up your third party applications using this utility, which I'd recommend before you do any wipe. You'll also want to make sure to do a complete data backup with DM prior to the wipe so that you have everything ready to load once you get the new OS installed.

Let us know if you need additional help!

Okay, that means you've wiped your device. There is no OS on the device, which is where we wanted to be.

Now, you need the OS you want on the device installed on your PC, so we can load it onto the device.

You backed everything up before wiping, correct?

I'm also wondering if maybe you downloaded an OS for a different device. Do you have the 9000 or the 9700? Your profile says 8100, by the way.
