You must be running alot of stuff in the background as my Bold is unplugged from the charger at 3:30am and still has about 50% at 9pm when it gets dropped in the charger cradle. I consider myself a moderate user with about 1800 minuites a month and read and answer about 60 emails a day. I am using the AT&T OS that came with the device

I have to agree with Greg. I don't ever recall my bold doing that bad with the battery. I could go 2 days easy and during light use days almost 3 full days before charging it. I also used the default AT$T OS.

i thought the default os that came wit the bold was pretty good.but i updated my os to .266 and the battery life and memory are better.wit the default at&t os my app memory after a battery pull was 25 mb and i'd get 38 million bytes/file free.wit .266 i get 47 mb app memory and up to 50 million bytes/file free after a batter pull so its alot better.

I have also noticed that any apps like yahoo messsenger, msn, or aim, drain the battery substantially. If you aren't using them, make sure you sign out and close the apps. Don't just hit the end key. Actually hit the function key, scroll down to close and click. This will conserve your battery as well. Even apps like facebook and myspace, if u just hit the end key, they are still "running" in the background. Close them out and you will probably see a substantial change in your battery life. Good luck and great question!

Kinda make you wonder when a poster posts and never comes back!

You wonder if they are roaming aimlessly with their Blackberry and a big frown on their face.
