    battery drain when off

I know there are various threads on battery drain.

Recently i had reason to leave my Bold at home for 5 days - switched off.

When i switched it off i had about 75% of battery left.

I returned to find my battery totally drained. There were no calendar alerts during this period.

I am running 4.6.0.167 and was wondering what could cause the battery to drain when switched off?

    thanks -

L-Ion battery chemistry will drain a few percent per day, even when not in use. 75% sounds a little like too much for 5 days. I know people who use their device all day long and come home with more than 75%.

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~ did you have any apps running? Perhaps even though the bb was off, there were some apps that staid "alert" and thus the battery drain(?)

the only one i can think of was the Facebook app that might have been 'running'.

all my messenger apps were not logged in.

I'll keep an eye on things.

    Thanks for your help

can you really shut off a blackberry lol ? because when you do a hard reset it takes a while to boot whereas when you "turn it off" it turns back on really quickly thus its not really turned off.
Best way to turn it off and leave it at home is to take the battery out i would assume
