talk about bad timing, just when my 30 day return expires. has anyone found a solution to the loose battery door? it seems to shift up and down, not right to left. i changed the keypad last week and now my battery door is loose. i tried loosen the 6 torx screws without luck, thinking maybe it was too tight.

Put a business card behind the batt door. Sucks that your 30 days are up. ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

my business card was too thick, so i stuck 1/4 strips of post it notes inside the battery door. the door still shifts up and down a little.

Use several layers of electrical tape on the inside of the cover... The business card work but then u have to account for it when u do battery pulls

I like the electrical tape idea but did anyone think about how this might affect the battery hold down mechanism? would it loosen it possibly?

The battery door on the first five Bolds I had each had loose doors. Bold number six is fine. Friends that have bought early models have loose doors. The newer ones like mine are fine.

Sucks to have to pay for something that should have been right in the first place, but I bought a new OEM cover. The original would fall off with even careful handling.

I tried out the new one in the store to make sure before buying. It clicks in place and fits snugly.
