I checked my bill... it is $30. It may have been the iPhone that had the $20 internet package, but went to $30 after the 3G version came out... but don't quote me as I don't have an iPhone.

I just got confirmation that the $299 price is in fact after rebate.

Thanks for the confirmation. Oh well for wishing $299 is the price before the rebate I never paid that much for a device.

Is that an instant rebate or mail in rebate? Via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

I'm almost positive that it's a mail in rebate

    Update:
T-Mobile just increased their unlimited BIS by 100%. It was $20 and is now $40 per month. T-Mobile is bleeding revenue & was forced to increase the cost of many of their services.

    wow

I know all the carriers are not doing well but raising rates just before your competition introduces a new device is not good! T-Mo has always been know for good rates

    .
T-Mobile price advantage is now a thing of the past. I know from first hand esperience. I have one line with T-Mobile & one with AT&T. Suddenly my AT&T plan is a bargain.

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~ AT&T should offer some sort of discount/promo for current customers if they want to retain them!!!

That all sounds good but most of the carriers do more to get a new account than hold the ones they have.

My company works in the apartment business and these poeple will give free rent and all kind of incentives to a new family who wants to move in and yet nothing for those who have lived there a whole year and paid their rent every month. Their lease comes up and they move to where they are given an incentive.

I am not in their shoes but it is much cheaper to keep a tenant in this place so you do not have to replace the carpet and paint again! They end up loosing more than the gained!

Don't forget that AT&T sends their rebates back in the form of a Visa Promotion Charge Card that is usually only good for 6 months. I would personally rather have a check so that I can put the funds somewhere else
