Just bought the new signature series case by case-mate and instead of the old faithfull battery pull I would rather get away with the old 3 key reboot or a very good app. I just don't want to have to pull my phone out of the case every time I want to reboot the phone. I try to use the 3 keys to reboot the phone but nothing. I'm pushing all 3 keys at once and nothing. What am I doing wrong? Should I be holding the keys in until the reboot starts or what. Embarassed to even bring this up, I should have this answer by now being the owner of 3 BB phones. I always just pull the battery when needed but pulling the phone out of case every time I need to pull battery sucks. Help me please............

That's one thing I've noticed about this 9700. This method does work, at least on my device, but it takes awhile to actually start the reboot cycle. You're saying it's not working for you at all?

on my old 8900 i had to hold the buttons for a while(5-8seconds) sometimes more otherwise it wouldn't work. I doubt that could fix your problem but i figured id throw it out there

Looking for Wallpapers or Icons for making themes? I can help!

    May I suggest something ?
Also had the problem, but after about 10 secs the 9700 would eventually reboot.
Then I downloaded Quickpull Free (steelthorn.com) from BB App World and this little program does the trick - cleanly and efficiently. You can also program daily or weekly reboots.
I must stress the fact that the program must be for the OS 5.0 - the previous ones don't work. So be careful here !

I'm running the latest OS from T-Mobile. The 3 key reboot did work. I just had to hold it for about 10 seconds. Thank you for the help.

Delf, yessir.....it's a direct download from RIM/AT&T. If you're using the newest Desktop Manager, there's no need to delete the vendor.xml file anymore, either. Just download the OS, plug in your device and launch DM. Should (hopefully) recognize the new OS and guide you on!

    Hi Rog
    Sorry to bother.
I DL the latest OS .645, installed, restarted Vista, plugged BB in and... nothing happened ! Ran software update option also with no results.
Shouldn´t the Desktop App pick up the new OS ?
What am I not doing ?
    I´m running :
    Desktop v. 5.0.1
The OS I have on the 9700 is .321

.405 is the latest OS del, .645 is the package version. yes it should, i had an issue with loading an OS on my 9000. i had to delete DM(5.0.1) and reinstall it for it to notice the OS. I tried using BBSAK also and it didnt work either until i reinstalled DM.
