    Avg. Upload Speed: 58.45Kbits/s

    Wi-Fi Only

    Connection Type: Carrier
    Avg. Download Speed: 1332.42Kbits/s

Now, I'm showing 4 bars on 3G at my current location. I tethered with the phone, and the page loads were noticeably quicker than what I saw using my 8520.

    Nice.

Man, I'm in philly and my 3G speed never even comes close to those speeds. I must have a junk berry because I'm in center city all day for work and never get over 400kbs. I've changed sims and spoke to tmo a few times. One time its we have an outage then its were rolling out an upgrade. F-dis sheet, I'm now suppose to have 7.2 speeds and I don't see any change. The only thing I haven't done is upgrade my os from tmo's stock. I'm trying that and if still nothing I'm demanding a brand new berry from a store in a sealed box. sorry for the rant but I'm furious.

I switched from a 8900 to a 9700 and have not seen any type of speed increase at all. I did the speed test and couldn't break 400 also. Im in Miami FL. I am also on my 3rd 9700. First 2 were defective out of the box. Anyone else having slow speeds in the South Florida area ?

    EDIT....

i've used this app on BB for a long time...but of course the upload speed is severely limited cause honestly who uploads anything from a mobile device?? a friend of mine was getting about 1200kbps DL speeds yesterday after a reboot on his G1 using 3G, yours seems way faster though!!

I am in Ft. Lauderdale and my 3g speeds are a joke.. The best I have gotten Download was 545.44 Kbits/s ... I just ran it again and I got :

    3g
    Avg. Download Speed 287.1 Kbits/s
    Max Download speed 287.1 Kbits/s

    Upload speed : 3.28 Kbits/s
    Max Upload speed: 3.28 Kbits/s

I dont even know what to think.... I have read that the speedtest is not accurate due to BB's going through Rims proxy, however, I really expected 3G to be ALOT faster !
