I went to ATT store today. I needed to see if I could buy or get a track ball for my Curve.
One of the girls was talking about the 9000. ATT suppose to get then. Now she was saying 3g,WIFII and GPS together.
    Camera, video also.

Is this true all this in one phone?

according to the device info - yes. i can definitely confirm wifi cause that's waht i've been using since i have no sim in the phone. 3g is also in the settings so that's most liketly try. gps is built-in, however i cant test whether it's locked by the carrier or what (verizon is known for this, i hope att/t-mobile/whoever won't screw you guys over the same way.. )
it also has camera and video recording. again, all these features arent new to the 9000 .. but it is nice to have them all in one place and that screen is sweet as all hell

    Whats the battery life?
Rumor has it, it is pretty shoddy, but is supposed to be improved in newer evaluation units

Is the microsd slot external or does it require a battery pull to change?

So---since you are surfing via wifi---I am assuming it's like the iPhone then? I was a bit confused when the 8320 came out---seemed like that only good the wifi was for was the H@H... Can you get email to the phone through the Wifi??? You know, without the push will it just go to the message box? Or if you download the yahoo/gmail applications, can you check your email that way?
Color---it's nothing but a hue of the rainbow...why do people place such importance in it?

Surfing On WIFI will work, unfortuantly there is no POP3 or IMAP mail program in the blackberry, So with out a data plan to RIMS server. the only way to get mail with WIFI is if you broswe to a site for mail. i.e. mobile.yahoo.com, mobile.msn.com and so on. Or you could use yahoo/gmail apps. If there is a third part BB mail program then that should work through WIFI as well. With a data plan it all works.

Folks, you heard it here!!! Thanks FiddlerMD, you confirmed my suspicions. I knew those kooky techs at RIM were planning something big, and I was correct.

BLACKBERRY 9xxx series Does in FACT SPAWN DRAGONS from the Convenience key.

I don't know about spawning Dragons... I know when I carry my Curve I get +3 armor, so what might a 9xxx bring!

From my top sekrit sources, there may be Fairys that Spawn from the Convenience key for the ladies, (this has not been confirmed and may just be something in an OS update perhaps.)

I wasn't aware of the +3 Armor with the Curve.
I am assuming you have to enable content protection.
then do you get an extra menu in options > security options > general options?
    Maybe under services perhaps

    To fiddlerMD,

The GPS on the 9000 Series will be Carrier Agnostic, meaning, a certain carrier will support, other carriers will right out to get better performance from the device.
